Irvine Park Christmas Train
On Sunday we met Gary, Hannah and their two girls at Irvine Park in Orange to ride the Christmas Train. The train area is decorated with lights everywhere and they have a bunch of fun stuff for kids like a bounce house, pony rides, story time, and cookie decorating. Cody was of course too little to enjoy it all (he did love staring at all the pretty lights) but I'm sure he'll have a blast in future years. The train takes you to 'Santa's Village' where you can take pictures with Santa, and they let you use your own camera! Cody was a little fussy that night, most likely because of his runny nose, but he was happy to sit with Santa.
Cody and his girlfriend, Sadie, getting acquainted. Gotta love the baby bjorn!
Waiting at the train station - you can see some of the decorated trees in the background.
Riding on the train.
Fun family photo op in the sleigh.
Sucking the thumb!
Waiting in line to see Santa - Cody's doing his best Blue Steel face. :)
First meeting with Santa!

Stroller walk
A little over a week ago Cody sat in his stroller (as opposed to in his carseat in the stroller) for the first time. I took him on a walk around our neighborhood and he seemed to love facing out and experiencing the big world!
Cody's acrobatics
Cody can't crawl, sit up, or even roll over yet, but somehow he's been managing to maneuver himself around in his crib quite well!
Here's the position that we put him in at naptime/bedtime...
...and here's how he has been ending up at wake-up time!

This was also the morning that he truly slept through the night - 7:30pm to 5:45am!!

A new step in development
Now that Cody's really good at holidng up his head, he can push himself up during tummy time and explore the world in a whole new way.
And he loves the jumperoo that we borrowed from Uncle Peter & Aunt Riley.
Cody and friends
It's so great that lots of our friends have kids close in age to Cody. He'll have so many buddies to play with when he gets a little older!
Hangin' out on the floor at Uncle Peter and Aunt Riley's house with his buddy, Dane.
